Journey To The Center of the Moon
Original size 15" x 20"
The Story behind "Journey"
I was in college for Fine Arts. One of my projects was to create an animate object from an inanimate object. Take something not "alive" and bring it to life. And it had to be done in pencil. As you'll notice from the art in my collection, I am a celestial lover. So the moon was to be my project. If you know me...I HATE FACES! In college, it seemed every project had to have a face! I've gotten a reputation for hating faces! All of my professors knew it. I didn't say I can't do faces, I just don't like drawing them. So my escape from having to make them look "real" is to exaggerate their features. That I can do!
By the way...I got an A on this project. My favorite part is the lips. It took me a week to get the lips and chin to do what I wanted them to do. This happens to be my ultimate favorite piece. Which is why I have the listing price as "SOLD". It's hard to give up my prized piece. If you'd like to have it, email me. We'll talk about adoption fee!
